Equipment
Slow Cooker
Ingredients
8-10poundspiral ham
1cupbrown sugar
1/2 cuphoney
1/4cupDijon mustard
1/4tspground cloves
1/2cupwater
Instructions
Spray the bottom and sides of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Unwrap the ham and discard the glaze packet.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, water, and ground cloves.
Bring a small saucepan to medium heat and add the sauce and bring to a simmer.
Using two forks, gently separate the layers of the ham, making sure not to entirely pull it apart but instead create space for the sauce.
With a basting brush, generously add the sauce in between the layers of the ham and cover all sides of the ham.
Place the ham in the bottom of the slow cooker. Cover with the remaining sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, basting with the sauce occasionally as it cooks.
When done, allow the ham to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
