In a large bowl, using clean hands, combine the ground beef, sausage, cooked onion and garlic, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Combine all the ingredients and form into 12 meatballs. TIP: Use about 1/4 cup of the mixture for each meatball. Place the meatballs 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs until browned and cooked through, about 25 minutes.
To make the Marinara Sauce:
Add the pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, sweetener, basil, and Oregano. Stir to combine, cover, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions. Drain.
Serve the spaghetti with the sauce and meatballs. Sprinkle each serving with one tablespoon of parmesan cheese.
To serve family style, transfer the pasta to a large serving dish, and cover with sauce and meatballs. Add parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.
