When you’re sick in bed with a cold or the flu, nothing seems to help except a warm drink. I created this Feel Good Tea for Colds and Flu after combining my favorite sickness-fighting ingredients into one drink. I start by brewing a ginger tea bag and letting it steep for a bit. Then, I add the juice and zest of one orange, whole crushed anise seeds, and sweet local honey. Strain to remove the seeds and you have a healthy warm hot tea to kick your cold and allergies! Next time you start to feel the symptoms of a cold or allergies come your way, try my Feel Good Tea for Colds and Flu. I hope it helps you feel much better, quicker.

What Cold-Fighting Ingredients Are In This Tea?
I purposefully added all the best cold-fighting compounds to this tea to ensure it gets you back on your feet. I start with a ginger tea bag because ginger has antimicrobial properties, stopping the spread of your cold. The medicinal properties of ginger also contain anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories. I also add whole crushed anise seeds, because anise is commonly used as a natural treatment for coughs and colds, due to vitamins A and C. These vitamins are effective in easing a sore throat. For extra vitamin C, I add freshly squeezed orange juice, and for a throat soother, I add honey.
