When making this apple slaw, I like to use a sweet apple. I use honeycrisp because it gives a nice sweet with tart taste. However, you can use any type of apple that you enjoy. This recipe tastes best with sweet apples but it is a nice change to make this with a tart apple too.

How to make cranberry apple coleslaw
Dice the apples into small bite sized pieces.
To make this cranberry apple slaw coleslaw mix together the coleslaw mix, apple, and cranberry. In a smaller bowl, mix together the dressing using apple cider, light mayonnaise, brown sugar, and salt.
Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mix and toss together to coat the slaw evenly. Refrigerate before serving.

Ingredients
- 1 14-ounce package classic coleslaw mix
- 1 large sweet apple diced (Honeycrisp)
- ⅓ cup Reduced Sugar Craisins® Dried Cranberries
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- salt to taste
