This is a simple and fast way to make a classic sweet creamed corn recipe! Using a sugar substitute like stevia helps keep it sweet and tasty but still low-calorie. For only 109 calories and 4 Weight Watchers SmartPoints per serving, you’ll use this creamed corn recipe for the rest of your days.
Tips for freezing cream style corn
If you have more cream style corn than you can eat before it goes bad or you want to make a large batch and have some for later, you will want to freeze the corn. After making the corn, wait for it to cool. Once cooled, you can move the corn to an airtight container or into freezer bag. I like freezing in a freezer bag because it lays flat and doesn’t take up much room in the freezer. Also, a freezer bag lets you write the date and what it is directly on the bag.

Creamed corn makes a delicious side dish for most meals. A few of my favorite recipes that will go perfectly with creamed sweet corn. - cream style corn
- frozen yellow corn
- skim milk
- Stevia
- whole-wheat white flour
- salt
- black pepper
How to make homemade cream corn
In a large skillet, heat the cream style corn and the frozen corn together for about 2 minutes until it is heated through. Stir frequently. If the corn is sticking to the pan, add about a tablespoon of water.
Stir the flour into the milk and then add it to the skillet. Add sweetener, salt, and pepper.
Cook for about 3-5 minute, stirring frequently. Heat until it begins to bubble.
Remove from heat and let it sit for 2-3 minutes. The corn will start to thicken before serving.

Ingredients
- 14.5- ounce cream style corn
- 12- ounce frozen yellow corn
- ⅓ cup skim milk
- 1 tablespoon Stevia or your favorite sugar substitute
- 1 tablespoon whole-wheat white flour
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cream-style corn and the frozen corn and heat through for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently. If the frozen corn is sticking, add a tablespoon of water.
- Stir the flour into the milk, and add it to the skillet with the sweetener, salt and black pepper.
- Continue cooking for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until it begins to bubble in the skillet.
- Remove skillet from the heat for 2-3 minutes and allow to rest before serving. Allow the corn to continue to thicken.
