Hot wings are a delicious game time staple, but are always fried and covered in oil. That’s why I created my Healthy Crispy Chicken Hot Wings, so my family and friends can all indulge over our favorite sports game. I start by letting the wings dry out in the fridge before cooking to ensure a crispy crust. Then, I coat the wings in a seasoned flour mixture. I bake the seasoned wings until cooked through. Finally, I finish off the wings in a homemade buffalo sauce that is out of this world. My Healthy Crispy Chicken Hot Wings are so good, you won’t know they’re good for you!

Are Hot Wings Low Carb?
Chicken wings on their own do not contain carbs. These wings are coated in a light dusting of seasoned flour, however the carb count on this dish is still very low. The carb count comes in at just 11 grams of carbohydrates per serving. These wings do help you stick to your low carb diet!

How to Make Healthy Crispy Chicken Hot Wings
In a large bowl, mix together flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Toss chicken wings in flour mixture a few at a time. Shake off extra and place on baking sheet. Refrigerate for 45 minutes, uncovered.
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper for easy clean up. Bake wings in preheated oven until no longer pink at the bone and juices run clear, about 15-18 minutes per side. Meanwhile, in a medium sauce pan, combine butter, hot sauce, pepper, and garlic and cook over low heat. Cook and stir until butter is melted and mixture is well blended, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove chicken wings from oven and place wings in serving bowl. Pour hot sauce mixture over the chicken wings evenly, and mix well.
