What Makes This Dish Healthy?
This family-friendly pasta recipe features whole wheat noodles. In comparison, whole wheat noodles are healthier than regular pasta. They have more fiber, iron, and higher protein content. Whole wheat pasta uses grains that are less processed, leading to a healthier product. Whole wheat pasta will also keep you fuller for longer!
This dish also features cannellini beans, a food high in iron, potassium, and calcium. I also like to add baby spinach leaves since leafy greens have so many health benefits. Spinach is rich in vitamins A, K, and C and promotes healthy muscles, which is why it was a favorite of Popeye!
