12 Beautiful White Modern Farmhouse Exteriors

Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing some exciting news along with 12 of my favorite white modern farmhouse exteriors.  Drumroll, please… We’re moving! Yes, that’s right, we just accepted an offer on our house, and we’re rolling out to the country!  We recently purchased several acres of farmland, and we’re already in the process of building our first home together. This has been a dream of ours since we got married and moved our blended family of five to Cincinnati.

The Texas Farmhouse

Before Daron and I met, he was living with Hailey and Ethan in Waco, Texas. He is a builder by trade and had just finished building a gorgeous white modern farmhouse on several acres of land out in the country. The house was picturesque.  A beautiful modern farmhouse with a white picket fence, sitting in the Texas country and surrounded by trees that backed up to the river.

Initially, we thought that the Texas farmhouse would be the place we would call home, but God had other plans. Instead, Daron and the kids packed up everything and moved to Cincinnati within a few months of us getting married.  It was a bittersweet moment as we were happy we were finally all going to be together, but it was hard leaving behind the farmhouse, the horses and cows, the extra land, and of course, the privacy and peace that comes with living out in the country.

While we looked hard to find land and a modern farmhouse when we moved to Ohio, we ultimately decided to put roots down near Newtown, OH, in a house in the suburbs close to the kids’ school. The house decor was a little dated, but Daron and I both saw the potential. In a few weeks, with Daron in charge, we completly remodeled the entire house.

I can honestly say that I loved our house in Newtown, and it will always have a special place in my heart. Our brick house in Newtown was our first home together, and we have so many memories in that home.  However, I’m looking forward to this new season of building with Daron, and while our hearts are set on building a modern farmhouse similar to the house in Texas, we made a few changes to the house plans as we wanted them to be uniquely ours for this next house.  As you can see from the pic below, nothing is stopping Daron from building our new farmhouse, not even the snow, haha!

For inspiration for the new house build and our plans, I pulled together 12 of my favorite images of white modern farmhouse exteriors. I especially love the white and black exterior color combinations. The white brick and siding combined with the black exterior windows are gorgeous!  I would love to hear what your favorite look is?
