I love Asian-inspired meals that are sweet, spicy, tangy, and savory all at once. My Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp is my homemade flavorful interpretation of this classic dish.

My shrimp starts with a marinade of soy, honey, cumin, garlic, and other delicious ingredients. I allow that to sit for about 30 minutes to let the flavors penetrate the shrimp. Then, pan-fry your shrimp until just tender and add the marinade to the pan. This creates the sauce! Reduce the sauce and serve over the shrimp with fresh lime. This Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp is a quick and flavorful weeknight meal!

Can you marinate shrimp to long?

This is a great question. When you are marinating shrimp in liquid that is an acid (lemon or lime juice) if left marinating for to long, the acid will begin to break the shrimp down. This results in a mushy shrimp. If you want to let sit overnight, I would recommend leaving the acid out and mixing in about 30 minutes previous to cooking the shrimp.
