Not all of our tummies can handle eating gluten; yet everyone should be able to enjoy a crispy chicken tender. For those on a gluten-free diet, I created Gluten Free Oven Fried Chicken Tenders that are simple to make and delicious to eat. For the breading, I use gluten-free Bisquick mix and grated Parmesan cheese for a lovely texture and flavor. Also, I use eggs, paprika, and butter. They are the only other ingredients you need! This recipe is minimal ingredients, perfect for a quick dinner on-the-go. Gluten Free Oven Fried Chicken Tenders are seriously worth making tonight!

What is Gluten?
Gluten is an element in grains, namely wheat, that is developed when elasticity is introduced in a batter or dough. It is always present in wheat flour. Gluten is said to have no nutritional value and is nonessential in a diet. People with gluten sensitivity commonly have Celiacs Disease, which is the inability for the body to process gluten. Using other flours such as almond flour or rice flour as opposed to wheat flours eliminate gluten content in a recipe.
Some have sensitivity to gluten, and others do not. Pay attention to your body and see what foods make you feel good after eating. For more gluten-free recipes, try my Creamy Avocado Pasta Zoodle Recipe.
Ingredients in Gluten Free Oven Fried Chicken Tenders
- Bisquick Gluten-Free Mix
- Parmigiano-Reggiano
- paprika
- boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
- eggs
- butter
How to Make Gluten Free Oven Fried Chicken Tenders
Begin by preheating the oven to 450 degrees. In a medium size bowl mix together Bisquick, cheese, paprika and salt together. Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil. Dip chicken into eggs then toss in Bisquick mixture. To avoid uncoated fingerprint spots on the chicken I usually shake the egg covered tender around in the bowl, then use a dry hand to shovel the Bisquick® mixture on bare spots. Place it on the baking sheet. Repeat process for the 9 remaining tenders.
Drizzle melted butter over the chicken (about a ½ tsp on each). Bake for 8 minutes. Flip chicken and bake for an additional 8 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.
