What Are the Healthy Elements of Pumpkin?
100 percent pumpkin puree (NOT canned pumpkin pie filling) is an all-natural canned product that only has one ingredient; pure pumpkin. When buying canned pumpkin, be sure that pumpkin is the only ingredient in the can. Otherwise, canned pumpkin pie filling has loads of sugar and spices that we do not want in our brownies! Pumpkin is a very healthy food, displaying beta carotene, potassium, and antioxidants in both canned and fresh varieties.
